What can our patients expect?

Anodyne emits infrared light energy to increase circulation and temporarily reduce pain in the area that it is applied.The Anodyne treatment typically lasts 30 minutes, and most people describe a warm, soothing sensation. Patients will also participate in dynamic balance exercises, therapeutic strengthening exercises, and functional training activities.

What are the goals of our comprehensive AnodyneR Therapy program?

The goals are for each patient to have a significant decrease in pain levels, improvement in sensory awareness of the affected areas, and improvement in level of functional independence. Each patient is different and results will vary depending on the severity of the impairment and the presence of coexisting conditions.

Are there any side effects or contraindications?

Although AnodyneR Therapy can be used on just about anyone, people with active cancer or pregnancy should consult their doctor prior to use. Diabetic precautions should be followed with any change in activity level, and patients should follow the directions of their doctor, therapist or nurse.
